Heaven Is Closer Than You Think

Heaven Is Closer Than You Think is a self-published zine of photographs made in the Greek Cyclades in 2015. Created during a trip taken days after her wedding, the work follows Harrity and her partner through a landscape shaped by romance, mythology, and the space between the real and imagined.

Beginning on Santorini and continuing to Milos, Harrity photographed her partner as both subject and collaborator. Inspired by photographers such as Harry Callahan and guided by the words of Emmet Gowin, the project explores intimacy through the act of seeing and being seen.
